Established in 1987 by Alexander “Butch” T. Zielie, Zielies began by clearing distribution and transmission lines for Northern States Power, now known as Xcel Energy. Butch managed the company until he sold it in 2003. Under new ownership, the company continues to hold strong to its core values of providing a quality and reputable service to Wisconsin utility providers.

Zielies understands the importance of maintaining a strong partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources  ensuring that we  provide responsible forestry services.

We are a member of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) which is dedicated to the professional practice of arboriculture and promoting the many benefits trees have to offer. Many Zielies Tree Service employees are members of ISA and have achieved the designation of ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Arborist Utility Specialist, and ISA Certified Tree Worker Climber Specialist.

The Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) is an association of 2,300 tree care firms and affiliated companies. Through TCIA developed safety and education programs it is their hope to advance tree care businesses. Many Zielies Tree Service employees are Certified Tree care Safety Professionals (CTSPs) through TCIA.
